Dr. Jenel Sánchez Ramos, PsyD
![]() Dr. Jenel Sánchez Ramos obtained her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, California in 2011. She specializes in veteran evaluations and working with adults, couples, and individuals struggling with adjustment, anxiety, relationship issues, spiritual concerns, cultural concerns, communication issues, developmental issues, new parenthood, women's issues, stress management, and trauma in both English and Spanish. In addition, Dr. Sánchez Ramos is particularly interested in multicultural therapy, psychoanalytic therapy, and group therapy. She holds degrees in Clinical Psychology, Education, Kinesiology,

Intercultural Studies, and Theology and enjoys researching and writing on adolescent spiritual development, positive youth development, and parenting. In the past, Dr. Sánchez Ramos has had experience teaching preschoolers and secondary school students and has given private piano lessons to young beginners for many years. She has also had the opportunity to teach psychology at the graduate level including statistics, clinical diversity, lifespan development, and to supervise students learning and practicing client-centered therapy. Jenel has served as a volunteer counselor for expectant mothers and has clinical experience counseling parents, families, and running groups centered on child and adolescent development, social skills training, stress management, and eating disorders. Dr. Sánchez Ramos completed her APA-accredited internship at Stanford University's Counseling

and Psychological Services and currently has a private practice in San Antonio, TX where she provides both psychotherapy and veteran evaluations. As a biracial, third-culture person who grew up in Lima, Perú, Dr. Sánchez Ramos has traveled all around the world and has lived in various parts of the United States (East Coast, Midwest, the South, West Coast).
